REASON FOR DELAY
PROVISION OF RAIL-CARS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, April 29.
The starting of a rail-car service on the East Coast railway has been delayed indefinitely because of the difficulty of getting materials from overseas for the building of rail-cars, according to a reply of the Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, to an inquiry from the Auckland Chamber of Commerce as to the date on which such a service would be available on the Taneatua line.,.
The Minister assured the chamber that the proposal to introduce the service had not been lost sight of.
