The Horowhenua Easter championship was won by V. G. Astley, who defeated C. Stern in the final by 4 and 3. Other competitions held during the tournament with the winners are as follows:—Levin handicap: N. Mabey; runner-up, A. Challies. Lake Domain handicap, D. Barnett. Championship Consolation Flight handicap: W. A. O. Canavan. Medal handicap in conjunction with the first qualifying round: H. Nicholson. Medal handicap in conjunction with the second qualifying round: N. Mabey. Bogey handicap: N. Mabey.' Stableford handicap: A. Challies. Medal handicap on Monday morning: H. Bull. Foursome handicap medal: E. Wilson and H. Mabey. The tournament was an unqualified success, there being good entries, includ-' ing a large number of visitors. ..
