LADY KYRA WELL

TO RACE AT FEILDING

(Special from "Hurry On.")

NEW PLYMOUTH, April 8,

Though most of the New Plymouth horses will do their Easter racing at Feilding there is a possibility that R. Johnson will take Ned Cuttle and Majority to Tauherenikau. Both came through their Hastings racing in great style and are in excellent order.

Lady Kyra appears to have benefited as the result of her race at Stratford on Saturday and was responsible for a good gallop over six furlongs on Thursday. She is considered favourably treated in the Feilding Cup, where she will be ridden by R. Sargent. Tahurangi is booked to go to Feilding, but will require to stage a big improvement on her track work to possess prospects. It is difficult to see him having any chance with Lady Kyra at a lib difference in the weights. Chat is looking bright and well after her race at Stratford. H. Dulieu has worked an improvement in this mare, who will only require to have the sting out of the ground to pay expenses at Feilding at Easter. No excuses could be offered for Wynardo at Stratford, and he has now finished racing for the season. When he next appears it will be as a gelding. Clessamor was responsible for one of the best gallops seen on the track for some months on Thursday when, with the flags out 30 feet, he ran six furlongs in the fast time of Imin 15sec. He is to do his Easter .racing at Feildmg, when he should be capable of playing a prominent part. The hitherto disappointing Glenthawn was responsible for two good efforts at Stratford. He won the Trial Handicap, and with a shade of luck might also have carried off the i arewell Handicap. In his previous racing he displayed a lack of courage, but he ran on solidly enough at Stratford. His next outing will be at Waverley.
