PROPOSAL FOR 1940
PAN-PACIFIC CONTEST

A Pan-Pacific swimming competition as part of the Centenary celebrations in New Zealand in 1940 is proposed. A decision was made by the council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association tonight to communicate with all countries bordering the Pacific asking if they would be prepared to send teams of swimmers and divers to compete at such a meeting, the venue of which was not discussed by the council. ,• "
