RUGBY LEAGUE
PETONECLUB
A special general meeting of the Petone Rugby League Football Club was held recently. Mr. V. A. Noble presided over a large attendance. An invitation is to be extended to the New Plymouth Club to play at Petone early in the season. Mr. F. Wisneskey, delegate to the Board of Control, gave a brief resume of the board's proposals for-the coming season, and several new members were enrolled.
The following are the elected vicepresidents of the club:—Messrs. E. Buckland, A. Routley, S. Platt, T. Walsh, E. Caley, J. Cotton, sen., G. Dodds, T. McKean, T. Toombs, G. "Vffi» McEwen, J. P. Gaynor, F. Hunter, H. Saunders, D. Fraser, N. Stevensen, H. Fahey, W. C. Douglas, A. Lees, K. Kennedy, T. de Lisle, and W. Wiggins.
