MAGISTRATE INJURED
LORRY AND CAR COLLIDE
' A collision occurred this morning at the corner of Waterloo Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, between a he^vy lorry loaded with tiles owned by Gaynor and Co., and driven by Mr. J. R. Gaynor, and a car owned and driven by Mr. H. P. Lawry.S.M. Mr. Lawry was: travelling north along Cornwall Street on his way to conduct the court at-Featherston and Mr Gaynor was travelling east along Waterloo Road. ■ -
The car was struck by the lorry on its left side, opposite the front seat, the body " work being badly damaged, the car coming to rest on the footpath. Mr. Lawry was cut on the head and hands by the broken windscreen. After receiving medical attention he was able vto proceed .to Featherston.
No, one else was injured, but the lorry/ was somewhat damaged and a portion of the load was thrown on to the street. ... '
