WARRANTS OF FITNESS
MAGISTRATES COMMENT

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
- "You will hay to look into, this matter, inspectors We have had a great many of these explanations and someone: must. be issuing : defective warrants. We have had cases where warrants have been issued and then a few hours liter the vehicle has not been satisfactory." These, were the instructions given to Chief Traffic Inspector Bruorton in the Magistrate's Court by Mr. E. C. Levvey, S.M., when a youth was charged with having no lights on his car. ' The youth said he had bought the car a fortnight previously and it carried a warrant of fitness. He experienced trouble with the lights and on the night in question they had apparently gone out, although he had not realised they were extinguished.
