LONDON WOOL SALES
N.Z. CROSSBREDS CHEAPER
(By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Received March 26, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 25. At the wool sales 7901 bales were offered, including 3770 from New Zealand, and 7112 were sold. A fair selection, chiefly of New Zealand crossbreds, met with an active demand and a good clearance was effected. In the absence of Russian interest for New Zealand crossbreds sellers have reduced the limits of their prices, which are now 5 per cent, below the opening rates- Others remain steady. New Zealand greasy crossbred, I "HRH," sold at 9d average and lOid I highest.
The Bank of New Sooth Wales is in receipt of the following cable message from its London office dated March 25: London wool sales—Good and general competition continues. Merinos very firm, crossbreds 5 per cent, cheaper.
