SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —In the "Evening Post" of the 23rd inst. a report of the meeting of the Wellington Education Board, when the date of the school committee elections was being discussed, contained the following: "Is it the time of the full moon? queried one member. Judging by some of the things school committees do, obviously the elections are held under the full moon."
Sir, the above remark is entirely uncalled for, shows poor taste as humour, and when viewed coupled with some of the acrimonious discussions reported from time to time at board meetings, would suggest that his Lunar Majesty is in a very Satanic mood at the time Education Board members are being elected.—l am, SCHOOL COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN.
