The Rev. Kenneth Saunders, formerly of New Zealand, who has been' minister at the Vineyard Congregational Church, Richmond, for the past eleven years, has resigned from the position. He was very warmly faxewelled by members of the congregation. -
Dr. Maurice Laserson, of Geneva, is proceeding to New Zealand and Australia on behalf of the United Ort-Oze Committee, an organisation concerned with the reconstruction of East European Jewry. On fiis way he' will visit New Caledonia, Where on behalf of the Emigration and Colonisation Society, he will etjdeavour to counteract protests against Jewish immigration. ■■•■■■.'■• ' ;'
'Mr. R. A. Farquharson, MA. (Oxon), M.Sc, who received the award of 0.8. E. in the New Year Honours List for services rendered to the Somaliland Protectorate, is a former New Zealand Rhodes Scholar and was for some years petrologist to the Mines Department, Perth, Western Australia. He is at present stationed at Berbera. British Somaliland. ' • ■■ ' .
Mr". Charles E. M. Munro, well; known in sporting circles in Wanganui, plans to return to New.Zealand later in the year after 18 months in England and on the Continent. His work here included a period with-ihe-Gains-borough Picture Studio. ■"
