MASSED BANDS DISPLAY.
Three 'of Wellington's bands, the Wellington Artillery Band, Institute Silver Band, and the Port Nicholson Silver Band, will participate in a most spectacular programme at the Basin Reserve tomorrow, commencing at 3 p.m. This demonstration has been arranged to show the efficiency of these bands prior to their participation in the band contest at Palmerston North. Included in the programme will be massed playing of the popular waltz "Donnawellen" and the beautiful hymn "Deep Harmony'," and also several marches. Each band is to give a de; monstration of the quickstep, and the public are invited to express their opinion ion the performances. The gates- will be open at 2 p.m. and patrons are advised to be early in order to obtain a good position.
