PICTON EXCURSION.
A special day excursion to Picton for the speedboat regatta which includes -the New Zealand speedboat championship (Masport Cup).. will be made by the Wahine on Saturday, February 19, The Wahine will leave • the Steamer Express Wharf at 8 a:m. and should arrive at Picton at about 10.45 a.m., the Masport Cup race being timed for 1.15 p.m. to enable visitdrs from Wellington to view the championship. A special train for Blenheim will leave Picton Wharf at 11 a.m. and will leave Blenheim again at 1.20 p.m., arriving back before the steamer leaves. Launches will make trips to many of the beauty spots on the. other side of Queen Charlotte Sound, and during the day the small steamer Tuatea will make short trips on the harbour which will give a good view of the various races. The Wahine will leave Picton again at 2.30 p.m. and should arrive back at Wellington about 5.15 p.m. .
