SOUTH AUCKLAND CHALLENGE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Hawke Cup match was continued this morning in more favourable weather than yesterday, though the wicket is damp and the conditions humid. The last two South Auckland wickets fell early for the addition of only 14 runs, Lissette being caught by Downes in Pritchard's first over. Skeec had a life in the third over, but half an hour after the resumption Murchison bowled Skeet. The innings had lasted 340 minutes. McVicar and Robertson opened for Manawatu. Runs came slowly, 14 being on the board at noon. Scoring was very slow, the first 50 taking 95 minutes. Robertson at 13 was bowled in the first over by M.
