BRIDAL PARTIES
Miss Kathleen Williams, who will be married this month, has been entertained at many parties,' among her hostesses being Miss Jacqueline Evans, Miss Mollie Thompson, and Miss Mamie Williams. She will also be the guest of honour at a luncheon at the Hotel Waterloo. • , fe ■ Miss Ruby Callinan was'the guest of honour at a 5 o'clock "gift tea" given by Mrs. Colin Mclntosh in the Majestic Lounge' recently. Competitions were .won by Miss Ruth Brennan and Mrs. Stephen Johns, and after the opening of,the many useful gifts tea was served. Among those present were Mesdames-K. Mooney, S. Johns, and J. J. Nixon, and Misses M. Hickmott, K. and R. Brennan, K. and D. Kirby, J. Turnbull, N. Martindale, D. Dealy, G. McDavitt, V. Pearce, M Downey, M. Morey, E. Dunlop,' A. and D. O'Connor, M. O'Dea, and N. trOUld. Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Thorn, gave a most enjoyable "pantry tea" party at their home "Cluny," 16 Maire Street. Lower Hutt, last night, for Miss Mollie Thompson whose marriage will shortly take place. Mrs. Thorn received her guests wearing a frock o* red printed georgette, and Miss Thompson was in black taffeta. The reception rooms were gay with "mixed" bowls of summer flowers, hydrangeas, and dahlias. The supper table was decorated with tiger lilies, cosmos, and tall candles In shades x of apricot Progressive novelty card games were played, and a very enjoyable evening Was spent. ' Among those present were Mr. andi Mrs. Len George, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Manthel, Mr. and Mrs. T. N.,Gillespie, Misses Mollie' and Lola Thompson, Audrey Davis, Noeline Cramond, Ida Morrah, Messrs. Cliff George, G. Martyn Williams, Keith - Wilson, Geoff Longuet, and Noal Brookman. .
