AUSTRALIAN CANNED FRUITS.
Exports of canned fruits from Australia during the calendar year 1937 totalled 1,705,275 cases, compared with 1162 419 for 1936. The principal market was the United Kingdom, which absorbed a total of 1,451,381 cases, or 84 5 per, cent, of the exports. The New Zealand demand has improved considerably, purchases of 120,985 cases comparing with 63,159 last year; but Canadian purchases have dropped from 124,096 to 100,099.
