SHIPBUILDING ON CLYDE
(Britlab Official Wlrelos's.) RUGBY, January 19. The launching of a 6800-ton cargo vessel today from the yards of Barclay, Curie, and Whiteinch marks the beginning of what is likely to be an 'excellent year for Clyde shipbuilders.
Liners listed for launching include the Queen Mary's sister-ship of 83,000 tons and the Canton of 15,000 tons, as well as several other passenger ships and a large number of naval vessels, tankers, and cargo boats.
