SUMMER CRUISE
OTRANTO IN PORT
The Orient liner Otranto arrived at Wellington from Auckland this morning in the course of a cruise. After experiencing rainy conditions down the coast, the passengers were no doubt glad to be favoured with a fine day in Wellington. A number of the tourists made trips around Wellington and the suburbs and some spent a pleasant day on the beaches. Over 100 passengers left the ship at Auckland and, travelling overland, joined her here today. Some came through New Plymouth, some through National Park, and others by way of Taupo and Napier. Altogether the Otranto brought 887 passengers to New Zealand, some of whom disembarked at Auckland and Wellington. The Otranto will leave for Sydney at 6.30 p.m. today.
