DEATH AT SEA
INFANTILE PARALYSIS VICTIM
(By Teluaraph—Press Association). INVERCARGILL, January 9. A boy aged nine died aboard the Maunganui from a severe attack of infantile paralysis during the voyage from Melbourne. He came from Tasmania and joined the ship at Melbourne with his mother, who, together with a stewardess, has been isolated. The Maunganui has been lying oft* Bluft all day and is not expected to berth until 3.30 p.m. It is believed that the body is still on board and that the burial will take place at Bluff. It has not yet been decided whether Press representatives will be allowed on board. , Dr. T. McKibbin, medical officer of health. Dunedin, motored down to Bluff today.
