MR. G.WALLACE
The death occurred on Saturday of Mr.' George, Wallace, late of 90 Glenmore Street,- Wellington. The late Mr. Wallace was the eldest-son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace, of Gonville, Wanganui, .and was, born in. Glasgow, Scotland. He came to New Zealand at an early age and resided, for many ypars in' Wanganui! ' He entered the railway, service as a cadet and was connected with the accountants' branch of the head office, Wellington. He was held in high esteem among his fellow-workers and had a wide circle of friends. From his early days he .was keenly interested in _ sport, especially swimming and tennis. He was a'foiindation .member Of. the Salamanca Tennis Club and .the first secretary.' He took a prominent part in the work' of St. Andrew's • Church and served on the board of managers and in the -choir. His vocal talent was always appreciated.. The deceased is survived.by hiswife and,:a daughter. The ; funeral took place at K.aror.i Cemetery today, the service being conducted by the Rev. A. B. Kilroy. :
