WEEK OF PRAYER
The world-wide week of - prayer is a simultaneous observance in all the Y.M.C.A.s, Y.W.C.A.s,. and Student Christian Movements throughout the world, when, during the second week in November each year, combined gatherings are held for intercession, the various groups who meet in all the different countries observing the same theme for consideration and devotions. The Wellington observance of the Week of Prayer commenced last Sunday afternoon at a combined service held 'at the V.M.C.A., at which the Rev. W. G. Graham spoke. During the week lunch-hour gatherings for men have been held at the YM.C.A. Special evening gatherings for women have been arranged at the Y.W.C.A. •The period will terminate with a combined rally .at St. John's Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening, when the preacher will be the Rev. J. K. Blanchard, B.A. • •■
