The Cairo Correspondent of. th« "Daily Telegraph" says that. King Farouk opened his first Parliament.
The Speech from the Throne expressed gratification at the loyal and sincere spirit in which Britain had co-operated at Montreux in the abolition of capitulations, which was ■ th«_ first happy result of the alliance. It also referred to the solidarity of th« two countries in the international domain to safeguard mutual interest! and serve world peace.
