POSSESSED OF ARMS
ALLEGED SHOP BREAKER
THE WEAPONS CONFISCATED

ASHBURTON, This Day.
While under observation at night in the Domain, Albert Edward Lindeloff flourished a heavy calibre revolver and a constable pounced on him, wresting away the weapon, which was found not to be loaded.
A'search of the man's effects later revealed a second large gun. Neither gun was registered. In court today, Lindelofl was fined £3 with 10s costs, for carrying a revolver, £1 and costs for being in possession of two revolvers and the weapons were confiscated, £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, for converting a bicycle to his own use, and £2, or seven days' imprisonment, for theft of articles from a shop. He was remanded to Thursday on a charge of breaking and entering the shop.
The polic# stated that the accused bought the revolvers from an Australian for 10s. No ammunition was found. Four other indicitable charges were to be laid against him.
