TO TOUR THE WORLD

DAISY KENNEDY WITH STRING

QUARTET

LONDON, November 2. John Drinkwater's widow, the Australian violinist Daisy Kennedy, will shortly become the leader of a string quartet with which she expects to tour the world. -

Prior to the tour they will play,at theatres and music halls and perhaps in hotel and club ballrooms.

The quartet will be drawn from six English, Irish, and, Australian players, and will play light music, eschewing jazz and musical comedy. Miss Kennedy said: "I will wear wonderful frocks. I must think of my three little daughters now that I am a widow."

The impresario Mr. Harold Holt will support the venture. Miss Kennedy has fully recovered from her recent motor accident, which necessitated 55 facial stitches. They are now invisible.
