Miss Cecilia Drummond (Masterton)' arrived in England three weeks ago from America, after having spent p year there, most of the .time in New York. During . the summer she wjjja with cousins in Connecticut. During the winter she observed the method* of teaching a.rt to young children in the Horace Mann School, which is attached to the Teachers' College, Columbia University. Modern methods similar in some ways to those practised in Vienna are.used in that school. Miss Drummond expects to foe ih London for some months and she hopes later to return to New Zealand. She will b* joined here by her sisters, Mrs. C. Bum nard and Miss Sally Drummond.

Miss E. Paynter (Stratford) was foC seven weeks on the staff at Stonefield, Blackheath. Then, with Miss Isobel Kohn (Department of HealtlvWelling» ton), she made a tour of the Rhine» land and now' the two friends are starting on a motor tour in iDevonshire and Cornwall.
