690 CASES NOW

INFANTILE PARALYSIS IN

VICTORIA

MELBOURNE, November 1,

Twenty new cases of infantile paralysis were reported today. The total is now 690.

A large proportion of the recent cases have come from the country districts, but a curious feature of today's reports was that cases were reported from the orginal metropolitan districts which were thought to be clear and in which schools were reopened and precautions relaxed. ,

The Federal Government decided today to grant £10,000 for the after-care of patients to supplement the Victorian Government's grant of £ 10,00 Q.
