VISIT TO ENGLAND

COLLECTION OF FILMS While Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., was in Britain for the Coronation as a member of the Empire Parliamentarydelegation, he secured a quantity of motion-picture film showing some of the more important activities of the Coronation period. Last night he met members of the women's branch of the National. Party, to discuss his travels abroad and to show the, motion pictures, both address and pictures proving particularly interesting. The first part of the evening was taken up with an address by Mr. Broadfoot, in which he gave a description of the places visited by him, including Scotland London, Oxford, Folkestone, Devon, Surrey, Kent, and many other districts. Mr. and Mrs. Broadfoot were absent about six months. Mr. Broadfoot was also able to give a vivid' description of the Coronation naval review at Spithead, the Hendon air display, and the military tattoo, at all of which he was present. The pictures shown by Mr. Broadfoot covered not only the various Coronation features, including the Coronation thanksgiving service and the Services' displays, but also views of industrial and rural England and views of London. Finally, Mr. Broadfoot snowed a length of coloured film showing the Trooping of, the Colour. At the conclusion of the evening, Mrs. G. F. Stone proposed a .vote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Broadfoot, and to the projectionist, Mr. W. T. Barton. This was seconded by. Mrs., Aston ana carried enthusiastically.
