LIGHT RAIN PROBABLE Special forecast for Wellington:— Light to moderate northerly winds at first, but winds soon turning to the south and freshening somewhat. Weather changeable, and probably some light rain at times, with temperatures becoming colder. The general forecast for the Dominion as a whole, issued at noon today for the ensuing twenty-four hours, is for light to moderate northerly winds at first over the North Island. In Christchurch it was fine and sunny with a moderate easterly breeze, but early this morning the wind changed to the south-west and the weather at 9 a.m. today was overcast.
