PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT
IN AMERICA
NEW YORK, October 10.
The New York "Herald-Tribune" states that the Soviet's commercial agents have been authorised to purchase in the United States 50,000,000 dollars worth of naval equipment and fabricated parts of battleships and other types of fighting craft, including turrets, armour-plate, propelling machinery, and 16-inch guns, for immediate shipment to Russia.
