LAWN TENNIS

KELBURN CLUB

The Kelburn Tennis Club was opened on Saturday afternoon by Mr. C. W. Earle, C.M.G., the club president. Friendly matches, in which the ladies participated, were played. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies.

LEVIN CLUB

The Levin Tennis Club was officially opened for play on Saturday. The weather was ideal, and there was a very large attendance of players and visitors. The president, Dr. S. J. Thompson, was in charge of the proceedings, and called on the Mayor of Levin, Mr. P. W. Goldsmith, to present the trophies won last season, and to declare the courts open for play. Trophies were presented as follows:— Ladies' championship singles, Mrs. K. T Adams; men's championship singles, T Tuohy; women's junior, championship singles, Miss L. Karauti; met is championship singles, S. Donnelly, women's championship doubles Mrs. Adams and Miss Kerr; men s championship doubles, T. Tuohy and S.
