6 FIREMEN INJURED

EMPLOYEES LEAP TO SAFETY

SYDNEY, October 8.

To the accompaniment of loud explosions, the paint' factory of Pabco Products, Ltd., near the harbour front at Glebe, was destroyed by fire today. The damage is estimated at £80,000.

Six firemen were taken to hospital as the result of injuries or burns.

There were narrow escapes When the tops of two high towers and a wall fell in ruins.

Some of the employees were trapped, being compelled to leap 20ft to the pavement. The flames rose to 150 ft. Dense smoke is obscuring the city.

Firemen had considerable difficulty in preventing the spread of the fire ito the congested residential' area.
