CONFERENCE

WASHINGTON, October 7. The Secretary of State, Mr. CordeU Hull, at a Press conference virtuallv pledged ttac United States to participate in the Nine-Power Conference proposed to seek a method of ending the Sino-Japanees eonflict.

He added that he was not certain from where the invitation was kkely to be received. The invitation the conference was not the bility of the United States. He had not received suggestions that it should be held in Washington. .
