The eliminating contest for the King's Cup Air Race was flown today over a course of 786 miles.

Perfect flying weather prevailed, and 27 planes participated. Starting from Hatfleld, the competitors flew to Aberdeen by way of Skegness, York, and Edinburgh. From Aberdeen they flew by way of Glasgow and Belfast to Dublin, where the night will be spent and where the fastest machines will take off for the final of the race tomorrow. Many of the aeroplanes, two of which are making their first appearance in public, are capable of more than 200 miles an hour.
