ENGLISH CRICKET

WILL IT REACH AUSTRALIAN

STANDARD?

ADELAIDE, September 10.

A stir in cricket circles has arisen over a reported utterance by Dr. Robertson, chairman of the Australian Board of Cricket Control, who said he feared that English cricket never in his time would reach the Australian standard.

D. G. Bradman, "W. H. Woodfull, and other leading cricket officials disagree.

Woodfull, in an interview, declared: "Events do hot bear out Dr. Robertson's view. I thought the Englishmen were within an ace of victory on the last tour."

Bradman said: "The Englishmen sooner or later will win again, and Australian cricket will be all the better for it."
