ATMOSPHERE IN PACIFIC COAST HOLD-UP
SAN ERANCISCO, September 8.
A more menacing atmosphere is accompanying the waterfront dispute. The teamsters have paralysed Oakland," Richmond, and other East River ports, but the secretary of the unio;i denied that they intend to move in when congestion stops the longshoremen's activities.
The leader of the longshoremen, Mr. H. Bridges, said: "They will have their heads sewn up if they try it."
It is expected that the congestion will compel shippers to place ah embargo on the affected ports in 10 day?.
