Collins had a meritorious win over Finnigan, who is a hard puncher. The former's coolness and judgment finally prevailed. Denny's speed and aggressiveness gave him a well-deserved win over a sturdy opponent in McCann. Heeney and Estall gave an. excellent display of close fighting, winning hearty ■ applause. O'Gorman's punching power alone I determined his • bout ■ with Neame. Sheridan gave . a finished display against the clever-Gisborne boxer, Thompson, and '■ Moran probably had the barest margin over Greaney, whose showing after being floored.early was one of the pluckiest seen in" Greymouth. ■ Kelly displayed remarkably solid punching power in beating Tonks.' W. Lister's showing against the Taranaki tyro, Jones, recalled his brother Harry's strenuous in-fighting methods.
