The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Hutt Valley High School was held yesterday. There were present Mr. Jas. Stonehouse (chairman) and Messrs. Jas. Kerr, W. V. Dyer, D. A. Ewen, J. S: Hunter, and A. E. Spencer. The Education Department advised that it had extended for another year the right of the school to retain the number of its staff as at present. The secretary advised that the sum now owing on the hall totalled £161 14s. Mr. Spencer stated that the Parents' Association was prepared to contribute £10 towards the approach to the Assembly Hall and probably £40 towards seats for the hall.
