ST. AUGUSTINE'S CLUB

The twelfth annual report and bal-ance-sheet of the St. Augustine's Church Tennis Club, presented at a meeting held recently, states that the club had a very successful year. The club entered junior, fourth, and fifth grade teams in the H.V.L.T.A. inter-club competitions and although the teams did not reach the finals in any grade, players benefited by the play. The attendance of members at the courts during the season was well maintained. The club's financial position showed a substantial credit balance as at the close of the season.

Opening day will be held on Satur-

day, September 25, and in the evening a dance will be held in the school room, Britannia Street.

The following officers were elected: — President, the Rev. H. S. I. Kenney; vice-presidents, Mesdames G. A. Clark, Winter, and Rait, Messrs. H. G. Pettett, H. D. Le Seouf, and T. Rait; secretary, T. R. A. Clark; treasurer, Miss B. Scott; auditor, Mr. H. G. Pettett; club captain, Mr. W. J. C. Warrington; club delegates, Messrs. T. R. A. Clark and W. J. C. Warrington; management committee, Misses M. Rising, S. Leopard, C. Morris, N. Parrant, Messrs. J. Hepworth, W. Leary, V. Weatherley, and D. McWhirter.
