FORGERY CHARGE

Charged with forging on May 31 a cheque for £38 on the Bank of New Zealand at Featherston, Edward Griffin, alias Grey, a labourer, aged 60, appeared in the Magistrate's Court today before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M. On the application of Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle, who said that there were several charges pending, the accused was remanded to appear on Wednesday.
