HOSPITAL BEQUESTS
Decision was reserved by Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court late yesterday afternoon in the case brought by the Public Trustee by way of originating summons to determine the disposition of a bequest of approximately £10,000 made by the late Frederick Allen Green, of. Clapham, Surrey, to the public hospitals of the Dominion. The questions to be decided by the Court, which heard legal argument on them for two days, were the number of public hospitals in the Dominion and the number of beds in those hospitals, as well as whether the number of both should be computed as at the time of the death of Green or at the time of death of his wife, who had a life interest in his estate.
