HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION

I The Hutt Valley Basketball Association has just welcomed home the members of the team which represented the association in the New Zealand tournament played last week at Auckland. The team, was congratulated upon tieing with Ashburton for the position of runner-up in the second grade New Zealand championship. The Hayhurst Cup, presented for this position, will be held for six months by each association. The B grade representative team will practice at the Drill Hall on Thursday, September 9, at 8 p.m., and at Petone Central on Saturday on No. 1 court at 3.20 p.m. Randwick A and Lever Bros, won the A and B grades respectively. The following are the completed championship tables:—

C Grade fixtures are as follows:— McKenzies v. Levers, Petone Central No. 1, 2 p.m., Miss B. Marston; Bluebirds v. Convent Old Girls, Petone Central No. 1, 2.20 p.m., Miss Marston; Randwick Cl v. Technical Old Girls, Petone Central, 2 p.m., Miss Taylor; Randwick C 2 v. Upper Hutt, Petone Central No. 2, 2.20 p.m., Miss Taylor.

SATURDAY'S GAMES.

The following games are to be played by the Wellington Basketball Association on Saturday:— Third Grade.—Final: Empire v. Aspro, Mount Cook No. 1, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Ede.
