£2622 DAMAGES
AWARD TO WIDOW
SYDNEY, September 8. Damages amounting to £2622 were awarded today to Mrs. Isabella Burnett against the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Ltd., arising from the death of Mrs. Burnett's husband, allegedly following an injury received while painting the hull of the Aorangi in 1932. Mr. Justice Bavin granted a stay of proceedings pending consideration of an appeal to the Privy Council on the Interpretation of section 63 of the 'Workers' Compensation. Act
