BRIDGE EVENING

SUCCESSFUL PARTY

The popularity of bridge was again shown last evening when quite forty tables were occupied at the National! Club, by the Wellington North committee of the National Party. All arrangements had been successfully made, and | not even the Jarge attendance went in any way against the enjoyment' of the evening, rather it added to its pleasure, j Smart frocks, cheery conversation, in-j teresting games, and later an excellent buffet supper which included the usual appreciated savouries, all went to ensure the success of the party. The "decor" was, as usual in the club, a feature. Great bowls of pussy-willow, Iceland poppies, marigolds, and the ever-useful hydrangeas, were everywhere in "points of vantage" making a generally-fine ensemble. : The hostesses included Mrs. Graham Robertson (in black georgette and a long black velvet coat),. Miss Agnes Mac Lean (black velvet frock and fur coat), and Miss M. MacGregor (also in black velvet with a matching coatee). Among those who made up tables were Mrs. Bayliss, Mrs. F.
