ROUND TABLE CLUB

LECTURES ARRANGED

j By special invitation the committee !of the Y.W.C.A. Business and Professional Women's Round Table Club met a widely representative group of senior women from leading business houses, clubs, and industria' firms in the conference hall of the Y.W.C.A., the object being to place before the guests the arrangements in connection with the proposed series of addresses which_^are being organised by the club for girls and young women. An appetising "hand-round" tea was first served after which the meeting was addressed by Miss Toulson (vicepresident of the club) and by Miss Bridgeman, secretary of the Y.W.C.A. Miss Toulson stated that a series of lectures had been planned by a spe-cially-appointed sub-committee which had the valuable assistance of Dr. Sylvia Chapman to help to meet what was felt to be a definite need today, and the club was extremely privileged in securing such able speakeijs. The lectures would commence in a fortnight, when Dr. Butchers would ad- j

dress girls and women on "Social Aspects of Sex." This address would be followed by addresses by Dr. Sylvia Chapman on "The Physical Basis of Sex," Dr. Elizabeth Bryson oh "The Psychological Aspects of .Sex," and lastly by the Bishop of Wellington on "The Christian Attitude Towards Sex."
