Preference should be given to a subject, about which there is a dearth of published information and one which is of special interest to New Zealand. The prizes would be fifty .guineas, thirty guineas, and twenty guineas. The Education committee has also aereedto an expenditure up to £300 a year in the purchase of helpful books fof the branch libraries of the society.
