WEXFORD BRIDGE'S FUTURE
Wexford, Bridge's efforts in hurdle events at country meetings last season brought.in £255, ..but he had to be eased up owing to leg trouble and T. H. Gillett has been content to let him take life easily as a hack ever since, Says a southern report. His lazy days are to continue until late in the season when he will be tried as a steeplechaser. An eight-year-old gelding owned by Mr. 5. H. Grigg, he is by Shambles from Scintillation. Pelmet and Love Affair, who both raced unsuccessfully at the National Meeting; will be tried again at Ashburton. Pelmet has fined down and should not be long in striking form. Love Affair is speedy, but may need more time before she settles down to race solidly. Concertpitch has been restricted to light exercise since the National Meeting,'while Greek Shepherd is doing all that is being asked of him well. Prior to his recent return, Greek Shepherd had been off the scene for such a long time, however, that it may be towards Christmas before he is back to his best.
