H. A. Mendelsohn, who drove his speedboat the NQtre Dame to victory in the 90-mile gold cup race, established two race records. He averaged 68.64 m.p.h. in the third heat, and 63.67 m.p.h. for the entire race. The entrants represented Britain, the United States, France, and Italy.
