RABBITSKIN PRICES

At the sixth sale of rabbitskins of the season held yesterday, Dalgety and Co., Ltd., offered a good selection of outgoings, with a sprinkling of winter sorts. In sympathy with the southern sales and the recent decline in the Australian markets, prices showed a decided drop. The quality and condition of the skins coming forward are now going off quickly, and it. is doubtful whether any recovery in prices will take place before the season concludes. Prime winter bucks sold at 126 d per lh, first winter bucks 119 d, first winter does 80d. second winter bucks 86d.

The following are the prices realised:—Smalls 14£ d per lb, runners 233 d, racks 32d, summer bucks 24d, summer does 27d, dawny autumns 34d, early autumns 39d, autumns 44d, first incomings 50d, second incomings 45d, prime winter bucks 126 d, first winter bucks 119 d, first winter does' 80d, second winter bucks 86d, outgoing bucks 74id, outgoing does 55d, spring bucks 42d, spring does 37d, first broken 36d, second broken 33d, third broken 25d, first blood-stained 58d, second blood-stained 38d, third blood-stained 27d, first milky 39d, second milky '30d, stained does. 55id, hareskins 26id to 40Jd, first weevily 36d, second weevily 24d, ferrets and catskins no demand. , The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports that com; petition was keen but the market registered a further decline. First bucks sold at 117 d per lb, second bucks at HOd, and first does at 86d. Lower grades of skins were from 3d to 12d easier than at last sale, with does holding better than bucks.
