SECRETARY APPOINTED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

Mr. A. Prentice has been appointed secretary of the Canterbury Hospital. This decision was made at a meeting of the board this morning, when applicants for the position' were interviewed in committee. The appointment will take effect from January

1, 1938, and it is subject to the approval of the Minister of Health.

This appointment will bring to a close a position which arose at a meeting of the board on July 28 last, when the board was advised by the Department of Health to,advertise the position after the board had' already' appointed Mr. W. A. Gudgeon, its accountant, to the position. Mr. Prentice is at present secretary of tht Ashburton Hospital Board.
