CABINET MEETING
OPENING OF SESSION
BROADCAST OF CEREMONY
The final meeting of Cabinet prior to the opening of the session has been called by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) for Monday morning, and it is possible that there will be sufficient business to keep Cabinet busy on Tuesday also. .
A caucus of Government members has been called for Wednesday, when general policy will be fully discussed. Mr. Savage stated today that it was the Government's intention to follow the procedure adopted last year and broadcast the opening of Parliament on Thursday by his Excellency the Governor-General Viscount Galway.
The House will settle down to serious business on the Tuesday, ■ when it may be necessary to take supply. On Wednesday the Address-in-Reply debate will" be opened. The mover and seconder will be made known early next week. Mr. Savage indicated that with these formalities over the Government would be ready with the Budget and Estimates without delay.
