TOUR OF AUSTRALIA?
It is practically certain the next overseas soccer team to visit Australia will be from South Africa. They have hot come this way before; and their doings against sides from the Old Country indicate clearly they are well advanced in the code.
The standard of soccer in ' South Africa is high, and teams there have more than held their own with the Scottish combinations touring the Dominion during the last few years. Two seasons back Motherwell, a crack Scotland team, play«d there, and more than once were fully extended to defeat the1 locals. Aberdeen, who contested the final of the Scottish Cup last year toured South Africa this season. .
Several South Africans have found, places in English professional clubs,; and have made good. > The secretary of the Commonwealth Association, F. E.. Druery, is hopeful, that a Springbok side will come to' Australia next year. It virtually depends on Australia tiow. South Africa, appears willing. , ~ .... ~..-.,..
